2. What is Not Covered (Exclusions)

To keep things clear and consistent, the following are not covered under warranty:

  • Standard Wear & Tear: Scratches, fading, or minor cosmetic blemishes that do not affect the thermal performance or structural integrity.
  • Accidental Damage: Damage caused by dropping the unit, improper tie-down techniques, or animal attacks.
  • Misuse: Damage resulting from permanent outdoor storage without UV protection or using the unit for tasks outside its intended cooling purpose.
  • Real-World Performance: Ice retention is subject to variables such as ambient temperature, lid-opening frequency, and pre-chilling. Differences in ice life due to these external factors are not considered manufacturing defects.
  • Limitation of Liability (Contents & Environmental Exposure): ICEY TEK Australia is a manufacturer of high-performance insulation hardware designed for thermal retention. We do not monitor or control the variables of use or environmental exposure (including precipitation, lid-opening frequency, or storage conditions). Consequently, ICEY TEK is not liable for the damage, spoilage, or expiry of any contents including food, beverages, medical supplies, fish/game, or personal equipment, placed within our coolers during active or inactive use. While our units are engineered for extreme durability and weather resistance, they are not rated as submersible. Users should expect that water ingress may occur under certain conditions, such as heavy rain, high-pressure washing, or partial submersion. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure contents are stored in secondary waterproof containers if they are sensitive to moisture.
